Nasheed M. Shams, MD, PharmD

Internal Medicine Resident

Dr. Nasheed Shams, MD, PharmD, is a PGY2 Internal Medicine Resident at McLaren-Flint/Michigan State University. She earned her Medical Degree at the American University of Antigua, then attended the Appalachian College of Pharmacy to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy. She practiced community and ambulatory care pharmacy in Vassar, Michigan prior to joining the Internal Medicine residency program. Dr. Shams has a passion for helping medically underserved communities, and has worked with many indigent communities in Virginia, New York, and Michigan.

She is interested in ensuring continuity of care for patients transitioning from healthcare facilities to the community, and envisions community pharmacists as playing an integral role.
