Established in 1992 as Pharmaceutical Association and renamed Bangladeshi American Pharmacists Association (BAPA) in 1996, the Association’s mission is to advance the profession of pharmacy, enabling our members to provide optimal care to those they serve.
We strive to organize Bangladeshi-American Pharmacists in a strong and professional platform so they can be more successful in their career and have a fulfilling experience in this country. We work to get the members involved in the socio-political process that determines their future. We hope to motivate everyone to contribute their time and talent to the betterment of the pharmacy profession here at home and in Bangladesh.
Specifically, the purpose of the organization is to foster cooperation and collaboration among Bangladeshi pharmacists residing in North America; to build and maintain relations with other pharmacists’ associations in North America, to support the profession of pharmacy in Bangladesh and in North America; to support and encourage the development of Pharmaceutical Science in Bangladesh; to develop and conduct programs for maintaining and improving the professional standards; to promote welfare of members’ families in case of need; to protect the professional interests of members of the Association.
How the BAPA works for you
We work at all levels of government to protect the interest of you and your patients, including state and federal legal representation
We organize local Continuing Education programs and identify other training opportunities to keep you informed and your skills current
BAPA shares a rich collection of technical and career resources, including the online version of Journal of Pharmacy
BAPA Regional Organization
BAPA is organized into 6 geographic regions that host continuing education programs and networking events, and communicate Association and industry news discussed by BAPA leadership — the Board of Trustees, the CEO, and line officers. We organized locally to minimize your travel and to make it easeir for you to have maximum input on the issues and the activities most relevant to where you practice.
But as usual, the sum of the parts is greater than the whole, so leadership works with regions to ensure that one very strong, unified voice represents you and your patients in Trenton and beyond.
